DESCRIPTION OF HIKING PEDRA BONITA

The trail to Pedra Bonita (Beautiful Stone) has a paving called "pé-de-moleque", built between the 18th and 19th Centuries and was used by the locals to get to their farm. That region, as well as others in the Tijuca National Park, was deforested due to the growth of the city and the exploitation of coal and wood, but today it is preserved and protected by the Park.

We will run no more than 5 km from Afonso Viseu Square to Pedra Bonita that looks like a large flagstone, where we will be greeted by the Emperor (Pedra da Gávea) who observes it from a distance. From the top of Pedra Bonita we will have a view of Rio de Janeiro that you will keep in mind as the most beautiful tour you could have done.

In this tour, you have an optional free flight, hang gliding or paragliding, from the ramp that is next to Pedra Bonita.
