For Running Tours

Reservations can be made directly through the website or through the online service center, via e-mail (info@riorunningtour.com.br). In both cases, to ensure the availability of the tour for the desired date, we ask for 48 hours notice. And in some Trail Running Tours, because of the demand for requests, we suggest at least 10 days before the tour.

 

After making the reservation, indicating the service you want and number of participants, the client will receive an email informing the total cost of the chosen service. After agreeing with the indicated price, the customer will receive an email with the instructions on how to pay. Only after payment will the reservation be guaranteed. Some tours can be paid directly on the site.

 

For Support in Sports Events

In both cases, to ensure registration for the desired event, we ask that you follow the registration deadlines described on the website and that they respect the schedule determined by the Event Organizers.

Security Policy

 

Safety in adventure tourism (applied to the Trail Running Tours and Hiking Tours) involves people (both customers and service providers, including public organizations), equipment, procedures and the companies providing the services themselves.

In conducting clients during adventure tourism activities (applied to the Trail Running Tours and Hiking Tours), there are common procedures that are necessary for all types of activities practiced, especially those related to rules and good practices.

​

The Rio Running Tour works according to the technical standards of safety of the ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) for adventure tourism, minimizing the risks inherent to the practice of adventure tourism, maintaining the physical and psychological integrity of all the people involved In the process of operating tourism products, identifying, evaluating and controlling the potential risks.

The Rio Running Tour seeks to comply with legal and other requirements related to the operation of adventure tourism (applied to the Trail Running Tours and Hiking Tours), as well as the maintenance of good environmental practices and in compliance with the norms of the conservation units, seeking to carry out the practices of minimum impact environmental. Therefore, the guides are instructed to respect and follow these rules.

At the time of booking and prior to the execution of the itinerary, the client will be informed of the level of difficulty to carry out the activity, by means of an electronically available document containing the Minimum Preliminary Information to Customers - ABNT NBR 15286, in order to be aware of Minimum requirements for security-related information and contractual aspects relevant to the contracted products and / or services.

In remote, hard-to-reach places (applied to some trail running tours), medical response or rescue can be difficult. The Rio Running Tour uses the public rescue system.

​

The tours require the use of appropriate clothing and shoes for outdoor running, such as shorts, pants, T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts, anorak and sneakers, as well as a backpack for hydration and for light snack transportation. These items contribute to safety and are the responsibility of the customer.

​

The Rio Running Tour guides have knowledge in first aid to take care of a possible accident and are equipped with an emergency kit. It is necessary to point out that Brazilian legislation prohibits the guide from doing any type of invasive procedure or even medicating the client.

​

Some tours require safety equipment. In these cases, the Rio Running Tour provides all the necessary equipment for the activity, making use of high quality equipment and certified by international standards institutions.

 

Postponement, Cancellation and Refund Policy

 

For Running Tours

• Specific Conditions for Postponement, Cancellation and Refund

 

The Rio Running Tour reserves the right to totally or partially cancel the tour in the following cases: a) Due to the non payment by the Client of the price in the agreed form; B) Failure by the Client and third parties participating in the tour to comply with its obligations; C) Because of not foreseeing facts of the outdoor activities; Or d) For technical reasons of its suppliers do not fulfill the use of services on the dates contracted or put at risk the safety of Customers.

 

The Customer may cancel the purchased tour, subject to the conditions described in this document.

• Cancellation before the start of the tour on the initiative of the Rio Running Tour

 

If any reason makes the tour impractical, as weather conditions and others inherent to the outdoor activity, Rio Running Tour will make its best efforts to present alternatives of products and / or services in the same standard initially contracted, offering credit (voucher) for use Future by the customer or by third parties determined by the Customer. However, in case the Customer's option is for cancellation, Rio Running Tour will refund the amount paid, within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the option made by the Client.

 

• Cancellation before the start of the tour on the initiative of Customer

 

The rules for this case: a) The client must arrange, in a timely manner, its replacement by another participant, under the same conditions contracted; B) The Client must agree with the agency its participation in another program, of any type of understanding that satisfies both parties; And c) If the application of the previous hypotheses is not feasible, the customer will lose, in favor of Rio Running Tour, the percentage of the price of the Product or service contracted: (i) 10% - cancellation more than 30 days before the beginning of the tour; And (ii) 20% - cancellation between 30 and 21 days before the start of the tour.

The rules for this case: a) Offering credit to the user, in a price corresponding to the refund of services that did not happen and were not replaced, in the form of participation in another tourist program; And b) Another agreement with the Client, that also includes the refund of the price paid for the customer, corresponding to the services not made.

• Cancellation during the tour at the initiative of the  Customer

 

The Customer loses the price paid for the Tour, Product and / or Service hired.

For Support in Sports Events

​

• Specific Conditions of Cancellation or Refund at the initiative of the Customer

 

The cancellation by the client and the request for refund referring to the registration in the sporting event, can not be attended because it is not part of the Supplier's policy. If the customer can not participate in the event, the Rio Running Tour will take the kit out and send it to the correspondence address indicated by the customer, after the client has paid the shipping fees.

 

In the case of services added to sports event registration: the customer will lose, in favor of Rio Running Tour, the percentage of the price of Services contracted: a) 10% - cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the itinerary; And b) 20% - cancellation between 30 and 21 days before the start of the tour.

We will offer credit to the client, in the price corresponding to the refund of the services does not made in substitution, in the form of participation in another tourist program; Or another agreement with the Client that includes, including, the return of the price paid by the customer, corresponding to the unused services.

General Considerations about Refund

​

Refunds, in whole or in part, will be made after the deadline of 30 (thirty) days after requesting the refund. The refund will be made by Rio Running Tour in the same form of payment originated by the Client. For payments made by credit card, the price of the refund will be made to the operator of the card, and the operator of the card must credit the price on the bill of the Client, according to its own rules and conditions; For payments through PagSeguro and PayPal channels, the refund price will be the responsibility of PagSeguro and PayPal; For payments made in cash (cash or debit), the refund will be made to the client's current account.

• Online Assistance

 

The Rio Running Tour provides an online service for its Customers, for any needs of changes, doubts or requests that the Customer may have before and during the use of the Tour.

 

The Customer must contact and notify the Rio Running Tour, via email info@riorunningtour.com.br, immediately and whenever he perceives a service in violation of the contract for correction. If the client does not immediately communicate the Rio Running Tour, the Rio Running Tour will have no responsibility to comply.

 

In case of any irregularity in the performance of the services contracted with Rio Running Tour and / or its Suppliers and if it is necessary to change or replace, from the moment the custumer accepts the service offered by Rio Running Tour, the custumer may not be able to request, in the future, restitution for moral and material damages in court.

 

The changes made directly by the Customers, without the involvement of Rio Running Tour, will be of their entire and exclusive responsibility, and Rio Running Tour will not be responsible for any kind of refund on any costs caused by the change made by the customer.

 

The contractual relationship will be considered perfect and finished, if the above is not fulfilled, and Rio Running Tour is not responsible for subsequent refund for acts that have been practiced without your assistance and / or consent, according to article 26, item I, Paragraph 1 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code.

• Personal Objects

 

It is the Client's responsibility to take care of his or her personal belongings to avoid the occurrence of loss, theft or robbery. The Rio Running Tour suggests to Customers not to carry high amounts and items of estimation and / or high sentimental or monetary value during the use of the products and services offered. Items that, under any circumstances, are deemed by the Client to be lost or stolen, shall be claimed directly at the places of occurrence of the loss or stolen.

 

• Personal Documents

 

All personal documentation necessary to carry out the activity must be provided by custumer, and it is your responsibility to know if the documents and passports are valid in Brazilian national territory.

 

For the participation of persons under 18 (eighteen) years old, unaccompanied or only with one of the responsible, they must carry a participation authorization, signed by legal guardians and legal signature, in accordance with Brazilian legislation. 

 

If the Client is prevented from embarking, entering or passing through any attraction visited for not carrying the necessary and valid documents, Rio Running Tour can not be held responsible for such act, and it is up to the Client to request and bear the costs of redialing or cancellation Of the Tour, subject to fines from Suppliers. It will also be up to the Customers to take care of the documentation that is delivered by the Rio Running Tour.

• Customer's conduct for the use of products and services

 

The Client's responsibilities are: a) to comply with the guidelines received by both the Rio Running Tour and the Suppliers; B) comply with the safety procedures indicated and recommended by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards; C) accept losses and damages resulting from actions or omissions caused by his fault; D) comply with regulations, indications and / or signage, as well as preserve the areas, facilities and equipment that are made available to them during the use of the contracted products and services; Respond civilly and / or criminally for such acts or property damaged; E) to carry official personal documents; F) not ingesting alcoholic beverages and / or making use of drugs, as well as carrying weapons of any kind, before or during programming; And g) be aware of all the information contained in the document General Terms and Conditions.

 

Failure to comply with the foregoing will give Rio Running Tour the right to: (i) totally or partially cancel the product and / or service purchased; And / or (ii) fail to reimburse any requests made by you; (Iii) or be compensated for any damages caused by the Customer to the Rio Running Tour.

To Rio Running Tour

 

The Rio Running Tour will provide all the information and documents necessary to use the products and services purchased, within 24 (twenty four) hours before the beginning of the accomplishment of the same, via email.

 

The responsability of Rio Running Tour will be limited to its performance, it will not be responsible for any action taken from compliance with any laws, regulations, orders or governmental requirements or by the lack of compliance of these obligations by the Clients.

 

The Rio Running Tour will not be responsible for the occurrence of a fortuitous event or for any action or omission made, as a result of the determination of governmental authorities, as well as for eventual death or injury, results of the health condition of the Client and / or possible accidents or Incidents that result from Customer's exclusive fault.
